Overview

LittleSathi ("the app," "we," "us") is a baby-tracking application that helps parents and caregivers log and share information about their child's feeding, sleep, diaper changes, mood, growth, and developmental milestones. This policy explains what information LittleSathi collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.

LittleSathi is in early access and is currently free to use. We do not show ads, and we do not sell your data.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create a LittleSathi account, we collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your password (this is encrypted and managed by Firebase Authentication; LittleSathi never has access to your plaintext password)
• Your role (e.g., mom, dad, parent, or a caregiver role such as nanny)
• If you turn on notifications, a notification token for your device, stored with your account so the app can deliver notifications to you

Baby Profile Information

When you create a profile for your child, we collect:

• The name you call your child (a nickname is fine)
• Date of birth, used only to calculate age for fever guidance, growth charts and checkup schedules
• Sex, if you choose to provide it (optional; used only to pick the right WHO growth chart)

Activity Logs

As you use the app, we collect the information you choose to log, including:

• Feeding details (type, duration, amount, time)
• Diaper change details (type, time)
• Sleep details (duration, location, time)
• Mood entries, including optional free-text notes you write
• Growth measurements (weight, height)
• Developmental milestones and any notes you add
• Formula stock quantities
• Appointment dates and notes you add

Caregiver and Sharing Information

If you invite a partner or co-caregiver to share access to your child's profile, we collect the email address you provide for that invitation.

Parents can also add caregivers such as a nanny, babysitter, grandparent or daycare. A caregiver can log feeds, diapers, sleep, mood and temperature, and can see entries from the last 7 days. Caregivers cannot see growth measurements, reports, appointments or the parents' email addresses, and cannot invite or remove anyone. Parents choose whether a caregiver's access is ongoing or ends after a set time, and can remove a caregiver at any time. Entries a caregiver logged remain part of the child's history after their access ends.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide solely to operate the app's core features:

• To create and maintain your account and your child's profile
• To display your logged activity back to you and any caregivers you've added
• To calculate summaries, trends, and growth percentiles based on your own logged data
• To generate reports (the Weekly Report, Monthly Report and Doctor Report). Reports and their PDFs are created on your device; they leave your device only if you choose to share them
• To schedule reminders and the Weekly Report notification on your device, if you turn them on
• To sync data in real time between you and any caregivers you've invited

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Where Your Data Is Stored

LittleSathi stores your data using Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore), a third-party cloud infrastructure provider. Firebase's own privacy and security practices apply to data while it is stored on their infrastructure. You can review Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Access to your data in our database is restricted by security rules that only permit you and caregivers you've explicitly invited to read or write data associated with your child's profile. No other LittleSathi user can access your family's data.

Data Sharing

We do not share your personal information with third parties, except:

• With caregivers you explicitly invite to your child's profile
• With Google Firebase, as our cloud infrastructure provider, solely to operate the app
• If required by law

Health-Related Information

Some information you log in LittleSathi — including growth measurements, milestone progress, and mood entries — relates to your child's health and development. This information is provided by you and is not reviewed, verified, or interpreted by medical professionals through the app. LittleSathi is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your pediatrician or healthcare provider with questions about your child's health or development.

Reference Data

LittleSathi includes reference standards (such as WHO growth percentile tables and CDC developmental milestone checklists) that were current as of the app version you are using. These reference standards may be revised by their issuing organizations over time, and LittleSathi's copies may not always reflect the most recent official updates.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account remains active. You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen within the app. When you delete your account:

• Your user profile and any partner invitations you sent are deleted.
• If you are a caregiver, your access is removed; the entries you logged stay with the child's parents.
• If you are the only parent linked to your child's profile, that profile and all of its associated data (logs, growth measurements, milestones, first-foods and allergen progress, appointments and formula stock) are also deleted.
• If another caregiver remains linked to the same child's profile, your access is removed but the shared data remains available to the remaining caregiver(s).

Children's Privacy

LittleSathi is intended for use by parents and caregivers (adults) to track information about their children. The app does not knowingly collect information directly from children, and is not directed at or designed for use by children.

Your Choices

You can:

• Edit or delete individual log entries within the app
• Update your feeding method preference and other settings
• Change your password or request a password reset
• Delete your account and associated data, as described above

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as LittleSathi develops, particularly before any public release. We will note material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above.
